Founders Metals Inc. has announced promising results from its ongoing drilling program at the Van Gogh site, part of the Antino Gold Project in southeastern Suriname. The latest assay results reveal a substantial intercept of 72.0 meters grading 2.29 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, extending mineralization to a vertical depth of approximately 200 meters.
The Van Gogh site is emerging as a significant gold discovery, characterized by its high-grade mineralization. The recent drilling results indicate that gold mineralization is not only present at shallow depths but also extends deeper into the fresh rock, suggesting a potentially broadening mineralized interval with depth.
The drilling program has confirmed that the mineralization at Van Gogh is hosted within a subvertical mylonite zone, with estimated true widths ranging from 25 to over 50 meters. This geological setting is conducive to significant gold deposits, as evidenced by the presence of multiple generations of quartz veining and a notable sulphide content.
Founders Metals is committed to advancing its exploration efforts at the Antino Gold Project. With four drills currently operational and a fifth expected to be in use by mid-year, the company is well-positioned to explore additional high-priority targets. The focus for 2025 will be on systematic discovery and expanding upon the successes achieved thus far.
The recent drilling results at Van Gogh underscore the potential of the Antino Gold Project as a tier 1 discovery site. With significant gold mineralization confirmed at depth and a robust exploration strategy in place, Founders Metals is poised to enhance shareholder value through continued exploration and development of this promising gold asset.
