Independence Gold Corp. has announced significant drill results from its 3Ts Project in British Columbia, revealing promising gold and silver mineralization in the Johnny and Ted-Mint Vein Systems. This discovery is expected to enhance the upcoming resource update scheduled for the second quarter of 2025.
The 3Ts Project is located approximately 185 kilometers southwest of Prince George, British Columbia, covering 8,840 hectares in the Nechako Plateau region. It is strategically positioned near Artemis Gold Inc.'s Blackwater Mine and features a low-sulphidation epithermal quartz-carbonate vein district. The project has identified nineteen individual mineralized veins, with lengths ranging from 50 meters to over 1,100 meters and true widths up to 32 meters.
Recent drilling has yielded some of the most promising results to date, particularly from the Johnny Vein System. The highlights include:
Drill Hole | Target | From (m) | To (m) | Interval (m) | Gold (g/t) | Silver (g/t) |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
3TS-24-28 | Ted-Mint Vein System | 38.40 | 67.91 | 29.51 | 5.59 | 86.17 |
3TS-25-05 | Johnny Vein System | 9.00 | 86.01 | 77.01 | 4.04 | 40.90 |
The Johnny Vein, initially identified in the mid-1990s, has been a focal point of Independence Gold's exploration efforts over the past two years. The recent drilling confirms that the Johnny Vein is part of a complex of gold-bearing quartz veins within a mineralized brecciated rhyolitic country rock.
Both the Johnny and Ted-Mint vein systems remain open along strike and at depth, suggesting significant potential for further mineralization. Ongoing drilling continues to test these veins and other mineralized structures, with assay results pending from SGS Canada.
Randy Turner, President and CEO of Independence Gold, expressed optimism about the results, stating, "These latest results reinforce the significant upside potential at 3Ts. The discovery of a broader vein system, coupled with grades comparable to our primary resource areas, strengthens our confidence in the growth potential of the Project."
As drilling progresses, Independence Gold is focused on delineating and expanding the known high-grade zones at the 3Ts Project. The proximity of the Johnny Vein System to the existing resource model underscores its potential to add additional ounces to the upcoming mineral resource estimate. With 8,700 meters of the planned 10,000-meter drilling program completed, the company is poised for continued success in its exploration endeavors.
